Do Not Be Just Good, Be the Best

I am always looking to be the best version of myself. I want to be a better person, be humbler, be more patient, serve more, and be more like Christ. Sometimes that can be challenging because of the natural man, who wants to do his own will and not the Lord’s. But the Father gave us the solution in the scriptures: He invites us to humble ourselves before Him, and He will move the natural man’s desires away from us and make our weaknesses strengths. This is a powerful promise, and He knows we can do it.

We are imperfect, and we make mistakes daily, but if we try our best to be better every single day, with time we will improve more than we can imagine. The Lord trusts us, and He knows our potential. He knows we can do better, do more, be more obedient, and have a better life, and He will do the rest with His grace.

The devil also knows our potential and what we are capable of. That is why he wants to distract us and lead us the wrong way, but the Lord has given us the tools to be better and more like Him. Those tools are the gospel, the scriptures, the church, conferences and more. Let’s use them and be the best version we can be.
